DUMAS, April 5 (Special) - Funeral arrangements for W.C. (Fred) Mowery, retired farmer and cattleman of Dumas, are pending completion with Boxwell Bros. Funeral Home here. Mr. Mowery died Thursday in Memorial Hospital. He was 74 years of age.

Mr. Mowery had lived in Dumas for 29 years and was a member of the First Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; five daughters, Mrs. Lorena Haile of Canyon, Mrs. Howard Shuss of Elkhart, Kan., Mrs. Houston Haile and Mrs. Clayton Mills, both of Dumas, and Mrs. Aaron Simer of Wickett, Tex.; six sons, Clyde, Buddy and Joe Pat Mowery, all of Dumas, Robert of Denver, Kenneth of Amarillo, and W.C. Mowery Jr. of Coronado, Calif.; 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
