*Obituary
A 33-year-old Fritch man was killed late Friday when his pickup truck slammed into a parked truck on Highway 152, just east of Borger.

Dead at the scene was Terry Dale Bryan, Box 36, Double Diamond Estates, Fritch, according to Justice of the Peace Nadean Spinks.

Department of Public Safety Trooper Pat Salas said Bryan was westbound on Highway 152 about 1.3 miles east of the Borger city limits when his 1985 pickup failed to make a curve in the roadway.

Salas said Bryan drove to the right shoulder of the road, then steered to the left, striking the legally parked truck at that time.

After the impact, the pickup continued westbound and came to stop in the center median.

Salas said Bryan was partly ejected from the pickup when authorities arrived at the scene about 11:20 p.m. Friday night. The officer said from all indications, Bryan was not wearing a seat belt at the time.

Salas said there was no indication as to why Bryan lost control of the pickup at the curve.

The parked truck was unoccupied at the time of the collision, Salas said.

Salas said Bryan was en route to Fritch after having attended a party with friends in Pampa.

Bryan was the co-owner of the Five Star Logging and Perforating Company and was a field engineer.

A life time resident of Borger, he was a member of the Borger Moose Lodge and the Lake Meredith Gun Club.

Mr. Bryan married the former Cindy Lister on May 25, 1972, in Borger.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy, of the home; two sons, Rusty and Jason, and a daughter, April, all of the home; his parents, Dale and Catherine Bryan of Borger; four brothers, Mike Bryan of Fritch; Bill Bryan of Sanford; Rick Bryan of Eunice, La.; and Robert Bryan of Amarillo; five sisters, Jeannie Hogue of Portage, Ind.; Pat Thompson of Phillips; Karen Rood of Edmond, Okla.; Tina Massengale of Fritch and Barbie Shroeder of Borger.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Gateway Baptist Church of Borger with Rev. Roy Henderson, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. V.O. Smith.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Cemetery under direction of Alexander-Morton Funeral Directors.
