EDGAR L. TUCKER DIES IN AUSTIN MONDAY

Edgar L. Tucker, 60, died at 7:30 a. m. Monday in Austin.
He was a native of Cameron and the body was brought to Cameron for interment and funeral services for interment and funeral services were held at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday Dec. 2, 1941, from the Funeral Chapel of the Coleman Funeral Home.
Edgar L. Tucker was born in Cameron in Feb. 1881, and lived in this city practically all his life being associated with his late father, J. M. Tucker in business here, leaving the city about 20 years ago, moving to Austin where he continued to live until the time of his death.
He was married to Miss Ollie Powers who lived in North Texas and they made their home in Cameron before moving to Austin.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ollie Powers, one daughter, Mrs. Frances Tucker Arms, and 3 grand children; three brothers J. Milton Tucker of Houston; Martin L. Tucker of Chicago and Wilbur C. Tucker also of Chicago; one sister Mrs. Ruth Tucker Carter of Houston.
Early in life Mr. Tucker became an active fraternalist and devoted much time to the odd Fellows. The funeral was conducted from the Coleman Funeral Chapel and the Odd Fellows directed services at the grave in Oak Hill Cemetery. Rev. Bob Poole, Pastor of First Methodist Church, conducted the services.
Mr. Tucker was a member of the Odd Fellows, Knights of Pythias and Masonic Lodge.
At the request of Mr. Tucker, a male quartette composed of Dan Tyson, W. A. Bonds, W. H. Stafford and Ray Burke sang "In Thre Garden," Mrs. Winnie Witliff assisted at the piano.
