Carol Jean Nolen Cummings
May 6, 1955 - October 4, 2015
Carol Jean Nolen Cummings, 60, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015.
Memorial service will be held 10:30 am Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Grace Church with Mr. Tom King, officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors in Borger. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to the The Food Pantry, Attn: Beverly Gilbert, c/o Trinity Baptist Church, P.O. Box 217, Boyd, Texas 76023.
Carol Jean Nolen was born May 6, 1955 in Matador, Texas to Estelle (Fowler) and E.L. Nolen. She married Travis Cummings on February 8, 1974 in Stinnett, Texas. Carol Jean was a member of Grace Fellowship in Paradise, Texas. She had a smile that could light up any room. Carol Jean had a big heart and she used it to serve her fellow man at The Food Pantry in Wise County. She had an open fridge policy at her home, you never left hungry or without a glass of sweet tea. Carol Jean truly loved like Jesus loved. Nothing brought more joy to her life than being with her grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Robin Brown; brothers, Harold Wayne Nolen, Don Nolen; and sister, Wanda Sandefur.
Survivors include her husband, Travis of the home; son, Brandon Cummings and Karri of Fort Worth; daughter, Suzy King and husband Tom of Woodland Park, Colorado; grandchildren, Justin, Lane, Trevor, Damon, J.T., Mackenzie, Isabella, Seely, Kylie, Luke, Ryder and Sasha; brother, Jerry Nolen and wife Beverly of Borger; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
