COOPER - Elmer Weldon of [sic] Cummings, 63, formerly of Pecan Gap, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, at his home in Fritch.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch. Burial will be in the Westlawn Cemetery. Minton-Chatwell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cummings was born July 17, 1925 in Pecan Gap, a son of Elmer and Jewell Roland Cummings. He was a veteran of World War II and was a retired supervisor for Phillips Petroleum.
On July 17, 1946, he married Thelma Liles.
Surviving are his wife; his mother of Pecan Gap; two sons and daughters-in-law, Archie Lee and Carolyn Cummings of Borger and Don and Linda Cummings of Spearman; two brothers, Odie Gene Cummings of Canton and George Lee Cummings of South Carolina; one sister, Beth Wolfe of Mesquite; and four grandchildren.
