Obituary for Charlie
Services for Charles O. Dempsey, 82, of Borger, were held at 2 p.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church in Borger with the Rev. Earl Staggs, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown and Sons Funeral Directors.
Pallbearers were S.A. Pace, B.J. Scott, Herman Cole, C.L. Aaron and Doyle Whitefield.
Mr. Dempsey died at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday in Golden Plains Community Hospital in Borger.
A retired boilermaker, he was a native of Warner, Okla., and a Borger resident for 43 years.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Mr. Dempsey is survived by his wife, Mildred; and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Hale of Checotah, Okla.

BORGER - Mildred A. Dempsey, 86, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 1998.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Westlawn Cemetery with D. Jay Lewis, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Dempsey was a native of Paris, Texas, and had been a Borger resident for 53 years. She was a homemaker and member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dempsey, in 1984.
Survivors include a sister, Mable Proffitt of Borger and a family friend, Nelda Scott, of Borger.
