*Obituary
Viola Dillard, 85, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 1997 in Baptist/St. Anthony's Hospice in Amarillo.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Fairlanes Baptist Church with the Rev. Art McAninch, pastor, and the Rev. Danny Logan, pastor of Bell Avenue Church in Amarillo, officiating.
Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Directors.
A homemaker, she was a native of Clarendon and a Borger resident for 64 years and an Amarillo resident for 1 year. She was a member of Bell Avenue Baptist Church in Amarillo and a former member of Fairlanes Baptist Church in Borger. She was a 50-year member with Order of Eastern Star #811, where she was Past Worthy Matron (1959-1960, 1975-1976).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. "Red" Dillard in 1974.
Survivors include one brother, E.W. Jones of Amarillo; one sister, Margaret Runyon Eversole of Amarillo; two nephews, Dick Runyon of Corpus Christi and Jimmy Runyon of Amarillo; two nieces, Sue Runyon Becquet of Corpus Christi and Sydney Jones Emmitt of St. Louis, Mo.; 12 grand-nieces and nephews and 13 great-grand nieces and nephews as well as many loving friends.
