Obituary for Allen
BORGER - Allen Evans, 84, died Sunday, Feb. 14, in Plano.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with Dr. David Jones, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in The Garden of Love in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Evans was born in Eldorado, Ark. A Borger resident for 50 years. He was a resident of Pampa prior to moving to Borger. He lived in Plano for the paear [sic] and a half.

He served in the U.S. Navy and gave expert testimony before the U.S. Congress. He was chief gas engineer for J.M. Huber Corp.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Borger, the Society of Professional Engineers, Texas Exes and Fantasia Dance Club.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, in 1996.

Survivors include four sons, Tony Evans and George Evans, both of Plano, Brian Evans of Corpus Christi and Louis Evans of Lenexa, Kan.; two brothers, Clinton Evans of Scottsdale, Ariz., and James Evans of Georgetown; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Obituary for Barbara
Barbara Evans, 75, Borger, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 1996 in Amarillo.

Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Evans was born in Henderson, and had been a Borger resident since 1947. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, and was a homemaker.

She attended the University of Texas, Austin, through her sophomore year. She was a member of Amity Sunday School Class, and God's Special Women at First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Ladies Golf Association, Borger County Club, PEWS Association, and Genealogical Society.

She married Allen Evans on March 9, 1940.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Louis Allen Evans of LeNexa, Kan.; Bryan Holt Evans of Corpus Christi, George Douglas Evans, of Borger, and Anthony Earl Evans, of Plano; her sister, Phoebe Sue Perlman, of Carthage, Texas; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
