Gene Green, 92, passed away, surrounded by her family, Wednesday, June 23, 2015 in Lubbock. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at 1st Baptist Church with former pastor Greg Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Gene was born February 22, 1923 in Bartlesville, OK to William A. Eller and Bertha Lee Gallion Eller. She came to Borger in 1926 where she met and married J.B. Green on October 8, 1938, celebrating over 62 years before J.B.'s death. J.B. and Gene began City Plumbing in Borger in 1945 where it remained in the family until 1995. Gene raised six children and later became a bookkeeper for J. C. Penney's for 13 years. All those that knew Gene knew that she loved all kinds of Texas Sports. Gene adored and loved her family. She also loved sewing, cooking and upholstering furniture.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Ronnie Green her two brothers Blaine Eller and Bill Eller, Jr. and her sister Marie Johnson.

Gene is survived by her three sons; Richard Green and his wife Mary of Lake Texoma, OK, Mike Green and his wife Jamie of Katy, TX and Jim Green and his wife Lisa of San Antonio, her two daughters; Dorothy Owen and her husband Bill of Borger and Lorene Kolb and her husband Jerry of Lake Elsinore, CA
