*Obituary for Anna
Anna Lamoine Hall
April 30, 1935 - January 27, 2019

Anna Hall, died Sunday, January 27, 2019 in Borger. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019 in the Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the funeral home.

Anna was born April 30, 1935 in Spur, Texas to Joseph Clifton and Ruth Mae Kilpatrick Pierce. Anna moved to Borger in 1945 when she was in the 4th grade with her parents and three sisters. They relocated for her father’s new job as an operator at the Plains Plant. The family lived in a one bedroom trailer and they had to get a rollaway bed for all four girls to sleep across. Anna and her family were finally able to move to a two bedroom apartment, but her brother, Leland was in the Navy and was not able to move with them and her older sister got married. Her sister Wanda got married a few years later and same that year her brother came home from the Navy. At that time they moved to a three bedroom house in Bunavista. Then the family was able to purchase a house on Andress in Borger in 1956. Anna married Eddie Hall in November of 1963. Her father died at the age of 69 after a battle with cancer and her mother died in 1995 at the age of 85. Anna and her husband Eddie bought the house on Andress from her family in 1996 after living in Stinnett for 27 years. Anna remembers having a very happy childhood, even though they didn’t have much. They made up games and cut out paper dolls out of the catalog. They made most of the things that they played with and didn’t think anything about it because they had a lot of fun. They never went to bed hungry because their mother canned food and raised chickens. They ate a lot of fruit from their neighbor’s fruit trees. Anna and her siblings live away from each now other but remained very close and love each other very much.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2007 and sister Wanda Bowman.

Survivors are sons, Delwin Hall of Borger, Monte Hall and wife Michaelyn of Borger, Kelvin Hall of Dalhart; brother, Leland Pierce of Big Springs; sisters, Dorothy Dugan of Nixa, Missouri and Melva Griffin of Amarillo; grandchildren, Teresa Stevens, Kelvin E. Hall, Joseph Hall, and Brittany Hall; one great-granddaughter, Victoria Broom.
