Stella Faye Henley
December 21, 1919 - November 7, 2018

Stella Faye Henley, 98, of Slaton, formerly of Lubbock, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Services will be in Englunds Chapel on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Chaplain Al Wise officiating. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Borger, Texas at 2:30 PM under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service.

Stella was born December 21, 1919 in Harrison, Arkansas to James B. and Myrlie (Ragland) Phillips. She moved to Oklahoma City with her family and graduated Oklahoma City High School. She married William Troy Henley on October 8, 1939. They settled in Borger, Texas. He preceded her in death March 17, 1993 as well as her son, Jimmy G. Henley on November 30, 2017. Stella moved to Lubbock in 1993 and then in 2010 to Slaton. She was a homemaker and Sunday School teacher in the Baptist Church.

Stella is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sherry Henley, of Littlefield; a daughter, Kathleen Smith, of Austin; five grandchildren, Jarrod Henley, Serena Rumbaugh, Kevin Smith, Kelly Ditta and Kyle Smith, and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to their favorite charity.
