Wilma Ruth Mercer
August 12, 1926 - September 18, 2016

Wilma Ruth Mercer, 90, died Sunday, September 18, 2016 in Borger. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Erron Mercer of Cornerstone Church in Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Wilma was born August 12, 1926 in Achille, OK to L. F. Elliott and Ada Lucille Spriggs Elliott. She came to Borger in 1952 and was a retired Bookkeeper for Kmart. She married Sam Mercer June 15, 1945 in Durant, OK and was a member of the Boots and Calico Square Dance Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and two sisters.

Wilma is survived by her three sons, Sammy Mercer and his wife Deana of Panhandle, Steve Mercer and his wife Tammy of Borger and Joe Mercer and his wife Lori of Borger, her two daughters Nancy French and her husband David of Borger and Shirley Smith and her husband Cliff of Leesburg, FL, her 17 Grandchildren, 25 Great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

The family would like to express their gratitude and love to Borger Healthcare.
