Services for W.S. Miller, 82, of 409 Monroe, were today at 11 a.m. in Minton Memorial Chapel.

The Rev. Lyman Wood, pastor of First Methodist Church, officiated. He was assisted by Steve Rherig, pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Perryton.

Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mr. Miller, who died early Friday morning in Vernon, was a retired businessman.

A native of Kansas, Mr. Miller had lived in Borger for 51 years.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Bill of Phoenix, Ariz.; one brother, W.B. of Greeley, Kan.; one sister, Mrs. Donna Isch of Kansas; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Joint funeral services for Richard Miller, 56 and his mother, Mrs. Amy Miller, 83, were held at 4 p.m. today in the First United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Lyman Paul Wood, pastor, officiated. Burial for both was in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mr. Miller died Sunday in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo. Less than 24 hours earlier, his mother, Mrs. Miller died in North Plains Hospital.

Mr. Miller was owner of Miller's Dry Cleaners. He was elected to the City Council in April 1974, and had served as a member of the council to the present time. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, immediate past president of the North Plains Knife and Fork Club, and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, one son, one daughter, his father, one brother and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Miller, a housewife, and a native of Gridley, Kan., had been a resident of Borger for 51 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, one son, one brother, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
