POWAY, Calif. - Nick Nixon, 85, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003.
Masonic graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Westlawn Cemetery in Borger, Texas, with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating. Masonic rites will be by Isom Masonic Lodge No. 1242. Members will meet at the lodge at 1 p.m. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Nixon was born Dec. 1, 1917, in Lakeview, Texas. He was a longtime Borger resident and moved to California in 1995. He was a retired civil service electrician and helped repair fighter planes.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He was a Baptist and a member of Isom Masonic Lodge No. 1242 for more than 50 years.
Survivors include a son, James E. Nixon of Poway; and a sister, Jewel Bennett of Mineral Wells.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon today at the funeral home.
