*Obituary for A.J.
A.J. "Tip" Tipton, 86, Borger, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 1991 in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Also, graveside services will be under the auspice of Isom Masonic Lodge.

Burial will be by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

A native of Tahlequah, Okla., he had been a Borger resident since 1946. He was retired owner of South Y Locker.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge in Rogers, Ark., and a charter member of Hutchinson County Sheriff's Posse.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel of the home; two daughters, Juanita Boring of Tulsa, Okla.; and Frieda Stumhoffer of Fort Worth; a brother, Clifford Tipton of Prescott, Ariz.; a sister, Lona Gray of Pear Blossom, Calif.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Langston, A.F. Casey, Keith Evans, Jack Randle, J.E. Cantrell, and Ervin Stone.

TULSA, Okla. Hazel McWhorter Tipton, 85, died Wednesday, March 16, 1994 in Tulsa.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Archie Echols, pastor, First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

A native of Oklahoma City, Okla., she was a longtime resident of Borger before moving to Tulsa in 1991. She owned and operated South Y Locker with her husband, A.J. "Tip" Tipton, and was bookkeeper for the business.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, and was a former member of the Borger Garden Club, and the Sheriff's Posse Auxiliary and served in various offices.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991.

Survivors include two stepdaughters, Juanita Tipton Boring of Tulsa, Okla.; and Frieda Tipton Stumhoffer of Fort Worth; five granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.
