*Obituary for Clyde
Clyde D. Tipton, 56, a long time area resident and an employee at Phillips Petroleum Company's Plains Butadiene Plant, died Monday in a hunting mishap.

Tipton's body was found along a fence row near the plant where he was employed, wounded in the head by what appears to have been a blast from a shotgun.

Justice of the Peace Sam Watson ruled the death was accidental.

Sheriff Hugh Anderson said Tipton may have been in a hurry to get through the fence after his game.

Authorities said Tipton had been dead for several hours before his body was found.

W.O. Toney, 1009 Franklin, a co-worker of the accident victim, and Mrs. Toney, found the body in the vicinity of a horse barn located west of the plant.

Tipton had been employed at Plains Plant since 1943.

Services were pending today at Minton Mortuary.
