Services for Oleta Vivian Tucker, 84, of Lubbock will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005 at Monterey Baptist Church in Lubbock with Rev. Jim Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Tucker died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005 at Covenant Medical Center. She was born March 16, 1920 in Paducah to Leonard and Irene (Riley) Thompson. In 1947 she married Lloyd Sursa. He preceded her in death in 1961. She then married John Tucker Dec. 6, 1986 in Lubbock. She was a member of Monterey Baptist Church and had worked as office manager for the South Plains Fair.

She is preceded in death by a brother Leon Thompson and a sister Mary Lou Graham. Survivors include her husband John of Lubbock, a stepson, Mark Tucker of Cerrillos, NM, a stepdaughter, Sandra Stypula and her husband Thomas of Newark, Ohio, 2 brothers and their wives, Leo and Louise Thompson of Lubbock, Clovis and Mary Lou Thompson of Abilene, 2 sisters, Faye Sclichting of Phoenix, AZ and Ima Lea Moses of Irving, Tx, and 2 step grandchildren, Adam and Jonathan Stypula both of Newark, Ohio.
