Ruby Marie Wilborn
February 26, 1911 - March 20, 2014

On March, 20, 2014, Ruby Marie Haymes Bales Bublitz Wilborn, decided at 103 years of age, it was time to say farewell.

She was born February 26, 1911, in Foyil, OK, to John David and Mamie Ethel (Matthews) Haymes. She graduated from Dewey, Oklahoma High School.

March 17, 1929, she married Racine Cecil Bales in Bartlesville, OK. Two children were born to the union, Patricia L. (Bales) Deason and James D. Bales. Racine Bales died in 1933. Ruby worked for Phillips Petroleum Co. and raised her children.

In 1944, she married William (Bill) Bublitz and with Phillips, they moved to Borger,TX in 1945. Ruby also worked for the Borger Airport and the First United Methodist Church. Bill died in 1988.

Ruby and Harry Wilborn were married in 1989. They moved to Lubbock, TX in 2000. Ruby loved singing in the FUMC choir, music, square dancing, playing bridge, collecting antiques and among other things, her women's group at the First United Methodist Church. Her grandchildren lovingly called her "Nonee".

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Carl O. and Ben F. Haymes; her 3 husbands; grandson, Chase William Bales; and daughter-in-law, Lynn Bales.

Surviving her and celebrating her life are daughter, Pat Bales Deason and husband, Milton of Edmond, OK; son, Jim Bales Lubbock, TX; grandchildren, Mike Deason and wife, Tricia, Mark Deason and wife, Niki, Sharyl Deason Nelson and husband, Bruce, Carla Bales Mansell and husband Mike, and Kevin Bales; Great-grands, Kristin Paine, Jacob Paine, Matthew Deason and wife, Leanne, Jared Deason, Ryan Mansell and wife, Nancy, Whitney Mansell, Caleb Bales, Brinna Bales and Chloe Bales; great-great grands, Rylan and Bryce, Whit and Graham Deason. Also loved and called "Nonee" by David Beron and wife, Heidi, Alison Frye, Lalo, Taver and Schuyler; nephews, Dr. David Haymes and Carl F. Haymes

Private family graveside services will be Friday, March 28, 2014, at Westlawn Memorial Park under the arrangement of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Celebration of life for family and friends will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Borger First United Methodist Church, 200 N. McGee.

Memorials may be made to the music department of FUMC or the charity of your choice.
