*Obituary
BORGER, Oct. 10 - Funeral rites for Mrs. Lillian Velma Shields, 44, former resident of Borger, will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Bible Baptist Church here.
Officiating will be the Rev. C.E. McDowell, pastor, and the Rev. E.E. Taylor, pastor of the North Hills Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shields died Tuesday night after a lengthy illness. The family recently moved to Lubbock.
Survivors include her husband, a daughter, her mother, five brothers and three sisters.
