*Obituary A. J.
A.J. (Jack) Cope, 23, of 1104 S. Spruce, died suddenly Saturday at 11:00 a.m. as he prepared to go to work on a rig nine miles northwest of Borger, where he was employed by the Texas Well Servicing Company as a driller.

A physician said the death was caused from a heart condition.

Cope was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Borger, a member of the Masonic Lodge of Stinnett and a Navy veteran of the past war.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. A.J. Cope, of the same address; one daughter, 4-year-old Donna Sue; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.C. Cope of Borger, and one brother, Jimmy Cope, also of Borger.

The body is resting at Minton Funeral Home, pending completion of the funeral arrangements.

BORGER - Mildred Louise Titus Cope Morris, 72, of Victoria, died Sunday, July 11, 1999.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Calvary Baptist Church in Borger with the Rev. D. Jay Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery in Borger by Rosewood Funeral Chapel of Victoria.

Mrs. Morris was born in Arkadelphia, Ark. She was a retired secretary who had been employed by Borger New Herald Newspaper, First Baptist Church in Phillips and Calvary Baptist Church in Borger. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Phillips, Baptist Temple in Victoria and Order of Eastern Star Borger Chapter No. 811.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Alfred Jackson Cope in 1950 and Charles Claude Morris in 1983.

Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Donna Sue Cope Cole of Victoria; a sister, Martha Jean Titus Tippin of Amarillo; a brother, Donald Lee Titus of Amarillo; and a granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The family requests no food, cards or flowers but suggest memorials be to a favorite charity.
