Hugh Dickey
June 11, 1922 - December 1, 2017
Hugh Dickey, 95, died December 1, 2017 in Livingston, TX. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Les Sharp, Faith Covenant Church officiating. Military and Masonic graveside rites will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Hugh was born June 11, 1922 in Putnam, OK to Everett W. and Gladys Dickey he proudly served as an aviator and Sargent in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He married Margaret "Dot" Alford August 14, 1944 in Putnam, OK. Hugh came to Borger in 1941 and worked at Knight Lumber Co and Phillips Petroleum Co. before becoming an insurance agent and partner in Panhandle Insurance Agency. He was a member of the Borger Noon Lions club and served his community in many civic organizations. He was a member of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge where he was a member of the Blue Lodge, he was Scottish Rite of Free Masonry in the Valley of El Paso and a Khiva Shriner in Amarillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margaret, his Sister in Law Nell Rhea and his sisters and brothers.
Hugh is survived by his Brother in Law O. K. Alford and his wife Gloria of Conroe, TX, his nephews Russell Rhea and his wife Denise of Borger and Kirk Dickey and his wife Dorothy of Nederland, TX and his Nieces Gayla Boss and her husband Ed of Spring, TX and Sherri Ohmstede and her husband Mike of Newnan, GA and numerous Great Nieces and Nephews.

Margaret "Dot" Lea Dickey, 93 formerly of Borger died Friday August 4th in Livingston, TX. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 9th at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Les Sharp of Faith Covenant Church officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Dot was born June 8, 1924 in Putnam, OK to Olin K and Evenette (Little) Alford. She married Hugh Dickey August 14, 1944 in Putnam, OK. She worked for Phillips Petroleum as a secretary for many years. She enjoyed being around family and spoiling her nieces and nephews. Her greatest joy was pictures of her family and the latest news of her family.
Dot was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Nell Rhea.
Dot is survived by her husband Hugh. Nieces Gayla and Ed Boss of Spring, TX: Sherri and Mike Ohmstede of Newman, GA. Nephews Russell and Denise Rhea of Borger: Kirk and Dorothy Dickey of Neaderland [sic], TX. Numerous great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Faith Covenant Church.
