Funeral services for Tom Ingram, 21, recently discharged veteran who was fatally injured in a car accident early Friday morning, will be conducted at the Blackburn-Shaw chapel at 1 p.m. tomorrow. Rev. E. Martin will officiate.
Military services at the grave in Highland Park cemetery will be under the direction of the American Legion. Pall bearers will be Cpl. Warren Elver, Joe Harrington, John Ward, G.W. Roofe, V.C. Harlan, and J.D. Brown.
Son of Mrs. Marie Johnston, 1002 Phillips Road, Ingram has lived in Borger since 1926 and was a graduate of Borger high school. He spent 18 months in the European Theater of Operations under General Patton. He received his honorable discharge September 15 from Harmon General Hospital at Longview, Texas.
In addition to his mother, Ingram is survived by his stepfather, M.L. Johnston, two sisters, Johnnie Mae Kimbler and Geneva Wingfield, two brothers, Harold Ingram of Austin and J.T. Ingram of the U.S. Navy, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Pace, three uncles, C.G., W.C., and Roy A. Pace, and two aunts, Mrs. M.L. Tacker of Dumas, and Estille Donham of San Francisco, California.
