R.L. Lindsey, 60, resident of this community for the past 16 years and an employee of the Phillips Petroleum company for 15 years, died at his residence, 290 C avenue, Phillips, at 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Lindsey retired approximately one year ago, due to ill health. He was a charter member of the Phillips Methodist church and assisted in the laying of the cornerstone of the new Phillips Methodist church which has just been completed.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. May Spangler Lindsey; two sons, Earl of Borger and Wesley of Houston; four daughters, Mrs. Leona Bullard of Borger, Mrs. Jewel Eller of Fontata, Cal., Mrs. Bernice Steele, Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs. Willa May Seymour of Phillips; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Mitchell of Wister, Okla., and Mrs. Mattie Cowan, Howe, Okla.; ten grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Phillips Methodist church at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday with the pastor, the Rev. J.H. Crawford officiating. Interment in Highland Park cemetery will be under the direction of Blackburn-Shaw-Brown funeral home.

Mrs Lindsey Dies; Rites Wednesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Mae Lindsey, 76, of 1704 Boyd, are scheduled at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Phillips Methodist Church.

Officiating at the final rites will be the Rev. Rollo Davidson, pastor. He will be assisted by the Rev. Gus Bogan of Central Baptist Church, and the Rev. Wesley Daniel of Spearman.

Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery, where her husband was buried in 1947.

Mrs. Lindsey was a pioneer of this area, residing in Phillips and Borger for 36 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She died at 1 p.m. Monday in Magic Plains Nursing Home.

Surviving are two sons, Earl Lindsey, 1225 Lindsey, Wesley Lindsey of Overton; four daughters, Mrs. A.A. Bullard, 1704 Boyd, Mrs. Bernece Steel of Borger, Mrs. Jewel Wooten, Richland, Wash., Mrs. Willa Mae Seymour, Spearman; sister, Mrs. Ella Niblett, Mansfield, Ark.

Also 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Casketbearers are Tom Carper, Carl Eklund, J.D. Edmondson, Floyd McSpadden, Ellis Tisdale L.A. Tabler.
