Ed Pierce, 74, Borger, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 1994 in his home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Evans, the Rev. Steve Miller, and the Rev. Gregg Simmons, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

A native of Caney, Kan., he had been a Borger resident for 53 years. He was a retired lab technician for Phillips Petroleum Company. He was an U.S. veteran serving in the Marine Corps, and was a member of First Baptist Church.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 1355 for 50 years and was a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Fae in 1991, and a son, Michael Pierce in 1949.

Survivors include two daughters, Patsy F. Adams of Beaver, Okla.; and Dixie Ann Isom of Fritch; a sister, Neva Stiles of Carlsbad, N.M.; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Casketbearers will be Jim Slaybaugh, John Bayless, Larry Reed, A.W. Dawson, Cecil Rentfrow, and Ed Rafferty.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle.
