Rufus R. Platt, 82, died Thursday, March 28, 2002, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Fellowship Baptist Church in Borger with the Rev. Bill Sizemore, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.

Mr. Platt was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He was a retired master plumber.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; a daughter, Carole Marburger of Yukon, Okla.; two sons, Kenneth Platt of Paramount, Calif., and Charles Platt of Long Beach, Calif.; a brother, Tommy Platt of Houston; two sisters, Louise Sarter of Roger and Dollie Lee of Kingston, Okla.; and seven grandchildren.
