HARKER HEIGHTS - Services for Eldean Perry Reed, 82, of Temple, will be held in private.
Mr. Reed died Tuesday, Oct. 18, in a Temple hospital.
He was born in Harvey, Ill., and reared in Hammond, Ind. He was a resident of Borger from 1950-2000, and was employed as a chemist by Phillips Petroleum. He was a member of the Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge No. 1355 in Borger. He was a decorated World War II veteran.
His wife, Evelyn Reed, preceded him in death.
Survivors are three children, Mary Evelyn Pinno, Michael Reed and Kathryn Reed-Butler; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Olin E. Teague Veterans' Center Hospice/Palliative Care Unit in Temple.
Heritage Funeral Home in Harker Heights is in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn Reed, 62, 1606 Primrose, died Thursday evening in St. Anthony's Hospice in Amarillo.
A homemaker, she was a native of Chicago, Illinois and a Borger resident for 37 years.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Amarillo Symphony Choir and Borger Music Club.
She is survived by her husband, Eldean; one son, Mike of Temple; two daughters, Mary Evelyn Pinno of Temple and Kathy Reed of Arlington; two sisters, Ramona Czjia of Highland, Indiana, and Helen Thames of Muncie, Indiana; two grandchildren.
Services are pending with Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
