Funeral services for Virgil "Butch" Tipton, 79, Borger, will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Tipton died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 1991 in Olsen Manor Nursing Home in Amarillo.
A native of Kendrick, Okla., he had been a Borger resident since 1972. He was a retired labor foreman.
He was a member of Bible Baptist Church, VFW, and American Legion.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one step-son; three step-daughters; one brother; two sisters; eight step-grandchildren; and step-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Thomas, J. C. Badgett, Richard Shipherd, R. T. Bearden, Calvin Duncan, and O. J. Rook.
