Funeral services for Whig Warren, 63, of 405 Deahl St Borger, who passed away at a local hospital at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday following a lingering illness, will be scheduled at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church here with the Rev. Paul B. Cullen, pastor, officiating.

Mr. Warren moved to Borger in August 1945 from Chillicothe, Texas, where he had resided a number of years and had engaged in farming and in business at that place. The Warrens made their home with their daughter, Mrs. Lee Briggs at the Deahl St. address.

He was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas May 6, 1885, where he spent his boyhood and attended school.

He was married to Miss Martha Miller on October 31, 1909, at Sulphur Springs. The couple continued to live there until 1926 when they moved to Chillicothe, where he became a widely known farmer throughout that section.

In 1937 Warren purchased a business there and operated it until failing health forced him to retire in 1939.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Briggs; and three sons, Louis Dean Warren, Jessie G. Warren and Hubert Warren, all of Borger. One grandchild, Carolyn Ruth Briggs preceded him in death in 1947, while seven grandchildren survive him.

Mr. Warren was a member of the First Baptist Church in Borger. Prior to his retirement about ten years ago, he was active in civic affairs in the communities where he resided.

Casket bearers named are: Willard Cook, LeRoy Stubblefield, Norman Branin, George Green, Earl Summers and Virgil Donaghey.
