*Obituary
Walter A. Wells, 78, 318 W. Jefferson, died Thursday at his home in Borger.
A retired bricklayer, he was a native of Wyoming, Iowa and a Borger resident since 1945.
His body will lie in state at Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger until 8 p.m. Sunday evening when it will be take to Amarillo for cremation.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his two daughters, Margie Burnett of Houston, Beverly Gibson of Conroe; a son, Donald L. Wells of Houston; six sisters, B. McCormick of Pasadena, Mary Lou Fuller of Medina, Florence King of Houston, Ethel Higgenbotham of Poston, Wilma Powers and Mable H. both of Iowa; one brother, John Wells of Houston; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
