STINNETT - Funeral services for Elton F. Wells, 71, are pending with Simpsons Funeral Home in Stinnett.
Mr. Wells died Thursday evening in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo. He had been a longtime area resident coming here from Sayre, Okla., in 1942.
He was born in Elk City, Okla., and was a millwright.
He was a member of the Sayre Oklahoma Masonic Lodge and the Victory Baptist Church in Stinnett.
Survivors include his wife, Isabell of the home; four sons, Charles Wells of Stinnett, Jimmy Dale Wells of Hurst, George C. Davis of Borger, and Sgt. Joe K. Davis of Aberdeen, Maryland; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Overton of Dumas; four brothers, Aaron Wells of Blackwell, Calvin Wells of Grantsville, Utah, J.D. Wells of Arapaho, Okla., and S.O. Wells of Lawton, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. Murphy White of Dumas, Mrs. Bea Bridges of Stinnett, and Mrs. Neta Coffey of Erick, Okla.; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

DUMAS - Isabell Wells, 84, a resident of Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1996 at Memorial Hospital in Dumas.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church in Dumas with the Rev. Mike Aiken, pastor, and the Rev. Vince Kolb, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Dumas, officiating.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Stinnett Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Kerry Finley, pastor of Victory Baptist Church in Stinnett, officiating.
Burial will be by Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas.
Mrs. Wells was born Dec. 25, 1911 in Sawyer, Okla., and had been a Dumas resident since 1984, and was a longtime Stinnett resident.
She was a homemaker and member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dumas.
She married Pascal Ivan Davis in 1926 at Vernon. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1936. She married Elton Frank Wells in 1938. He preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 1976.
Survivors include a daughter, Billie Overton of Dumas; four sons, Curtis Davis of Borger; Joe Davis of Lawton, Okla.; Charles Wells of Bowie; and Jimmy Wells of Plano; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
