Funeral services for John Ray Wood, 71, of 8 Riney in Phillips, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Ed Brown & Sons Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Guy White, pastor of the Phillips First Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
Wood had been a resident of this area since 1933. He died in a Palacios, Texas Hospital. He was a retired area supervisor for Phillips Petroleum Company.
Survivors include his wife, one son, two daughters, two brothers, one sister, five grandchildren, and one great grandson.
The family will be at 2 Smoot Street in Phillips.

Ollie J. Wood, 86, Borger, died Friday, March 5, 1993 in Serenity Nursing Home in Garland.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with Mr. Sam Sidders, minister Johnson Park Street Church of Christ, officiating.
Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
A homemaker, she was a native of Tecumseh, Okla., and a Borger resident for 42 years and Garland resident for 17 years.
She is survived by two daughters, June Gardner of Garland; and Patsy Wood James of Matagorda; a brother, Jim C. Wood of Sugarland; a sister, Gertrude Devereux of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ray Wood in 1975.
