*Obituary
Mrs. Josie Wood, 74 years old, died here last night about 8:15 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.H. Hipple. She had been very ill for the past three weeks.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Wallace Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Highland cemetery with the Powell Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be J.D. Miller, Wade Furr, Al Arnold, Jack Burke, a Mrs. McBride, and Carl Disney.
Mrs Wood was born Sept. 11, 1866 at Sanatobia [sic], Miss., and spent most of her life at Van Buren, Ark. She moved to Cushing in 1912 where she resided until moving to Borger eight years ago.
Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Wood, 20 years.
Beside her daughter, other survivors are two granddaughters, Mrs. George Self of Borger and Miss Josephine Hipple of Oklahoma City, and a great grandson, Tom Self of Borger.
