Funeral services for Hollis Sims, age 79 of Seminole, Texas will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Seagraves, Texas at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mr. Sims was born July 24, 1942 in Cedar Hill, Texas to Odessa (Moore) and William Sims. He was a Christian and worked for the Highway Department. In his spare time he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and riding his motorcycle. Hollis was active in the Seminole Bow Club for many years. He loved being with his family and watching his grandchildren grow; he especially loved the Lord.
Hollis Sims passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at his home in Seminole. He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one brother, and one sister. He is survived by one son, Benny Sims and wife La Janna of Seminole; one sister, Sharon Moore and husband Oscar of Monahans, Texas; and four grandchildren.
