ALLISON - Mrs. Evelyn Virgie Dukes, 53, died Saturday in Wheeler.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Allison School with Truman Teel of Dell City, Okla., and T.A. Monk of Gunter officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.

Mrs. Dukes was born in Coffee County, Tenn. She married Clyde Dukes on Dec. 10, 1939 in Reydon, Okla. She had lived in Allison 39 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her widower, three sons, Johnnie of Fort Worth, and Bobby and Clyde Jr. Chatham of San Mateo, Calif. Mrs. Virgie Starnes of Plano and Mrs. Adeline Hays of Whiteface; one brother, Vernon Hall of Allison; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Wallace of Sayre, Okla., and Mrs. Lavelle McMillen of Tulsa, and eight grandchildren.
