Today, November 30, Connie Everette Cole left his earthly body to join God and His angels. For his 68 years, he was known as Lad to classmates, Cole to workmates, Everette to family, daddy to his three children Phillis Contreras and Roger Cole of Amarillo, Becky Voight of Hartley, Papa to 6 grandchildren and son to Mary Cole of Amarillo.
Clara Helen Seedig Cole, Everette's wife of 39 years, wishes to invite his family and friends to come and share in a time to mourn, sing, see old friends, heal ourselves and to celebrate the life of this loving man. Some of Everettes priorities, even while dying was comfort and simplicity. You are invited to honor Everette by wearing your favorite clothes, casual or dress.
Everette was born in Gray County, Texas August 14th, 1919. Moved to Wheeler, Texas in 1925 and graduated from Wheeler High School in 1937. From 1942 to 1946 he was a Radio Operator 3rd class in the US Navel Reserve. Moved to Pampa in 1956 and resided there until moving to Amarillo in 1972.
Memorial services will be held at Memorial Park in Amarillo, at 10:00 a.m., December 3 and a graveside service in Wheeler, Texas at 3:00 p.m. Everette was also a practical man. We request you express your thoughtfulness by making a phone call, take someone to lunch, or just visit someone and tell them the things you often think of only when the are gone, or send donations to Hospice.
Everettes' philosophy was "when faced with adversity, smile, no one will know the difference.
