Lester John Hudson, 92, died Friday night in Wheeler.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, Wheeler, the Rev. Ray Forbes of Mobeetie officiated. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery, directed by Wright Funeral Home.

He was born in Hopkins County. He married Mary Elizabeth Hudson in 1915 in Childress. He moved to Briscoe in Wheeler County in 1925 and lived there until 1941, when he moved to Childress County. He moved back to Briscoe in 1958. He had been a resident of Wheeler Care Center the past two years. He was a farmer all his live, and a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, of Briscoe; a son, Oden L. of Briscoe; a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Dement of Childress; a sister, Mrs. Atha Swarner of San Angelo; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and a great great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were: Joe Gatlin, Robert, [sic] Gatlin, Brady Hudson, Rodney Hudson, Kelly Paul, Rodney Sweet.
