WHEELER - Rose Fern Kidwell, 91, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bud Kidwell, her son and pastor of First United Methodist Church of Quanah, and the Rev. Ricky Carstensen, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Wheeler, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kidwell was born Oct. 4, 1914, in Stephenville to Amos Jackson James and Rose Lee James. She had lived in Shamrock since she was a child. She married Curtis Kidwell on Nov. 5, 1932, in Sayre, Okla. In 1942, she and her husband moved to Wheeler. He died in 1998. She was employed at Parkview Hospital for 10 years as a cook. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Wheeler.
Survivors include a son, the Rev. Bud Kidwell and wife, Karilyn, of Quanah; two daughters, Betty Kreyling and husband, Dave, and Barbara Rector, all of Pampa; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to the Wheeler Cemetery Association or Odyssey Health Care, 1000 S. Jefferson St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
