*Obituary Weldon W.
Weldon W. Sandifer, 63, died Sunday in Scott and White Hospital in Temple. He had been ill for more than two years.

Services were at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 1975 in the Wheeler Church of Christ, J.Lloyd Rice, minister from Shamrock, officiating. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Sandifer, a resident of Wheeler for four years, moved here from Kermit. He was retired after working in the lumber and construction business.

He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include the widow, Ruby Lee, one daughter, Miss Anna Suzanne Sandifer of Arlington, Va.; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Lee Wicker of Gridley, Calif.

The family requests that memorials be sent to the Westview Boys Home of Hollis, Okla.

Pallbearers were: Bill Owen, B.L. Graham, Arvel Lowrie, Edgar Wood, Clyde Adams, Elmer Hubbard, Jack Holsenbeck and R.G. Russ.

Honorary Pallbearers were: Dr. Louis Mendiola, H.T. Bonney, O.W. Pendleton, Arling Cordell, L.L. Morris, George Jones, John Wright, Watson Burgess, Alvin B. Johnson, and Monk Bowerman.

ABILENE - Ruby Lee Sandifer, 90, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003.

Private graveside services were Sunday, Oct. 5, in Wheeler by Girdner-Brown Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sandifer was born Aug. 5, 1913, in Wheeler County. She married Weldon Sandifer in 1937. She was a third-grade school teacher for many years.

The majority of her teaching was spent in Clarendon for 11 years and she taught 16 years in Kermit where she finally retired in 1973.

She was a devoted wife and a loving mother. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975; and an infant daughter in 1940.

Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne Sandifer of Abilene; a brother, Glenn Williams of Wheeler; three nieces; and two nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to Westview Boys Home, P.O.Box 553, Hollis, OK 73550.
