Final rites for Prentice Green were conducted Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Mount Zion Baptist Church. Green, a 64-year-old farm worker, died Saturday shortly after being admitted to the local hospital.

Rev. Robert Bracy officiated in the funeral service. Burial was In Mitchell County Cemetery
under direction of Kiker & Son.

Mr. Green was born Sept. 12,1904, in Louisiana and came to Mitchell County in 1924. He
married Ruby Moore, here In 1924.

Survivors include his mother, Martha Green; his wife Ruby; four sons, Elmer Green, Virgil
Green, David Green, and W . L. Green all of Colorado City; seven daughters, Mrs. Geneva Mayes and Mrs. Ellen Smith of Colorado pity, Mrs. Juanita Trotter of Topeka, Kansas, Mrs. William Tryon of Lubbock, Mrs. Edna Mae Wilson of Sweetwater, Mrs. Helen Stevenson and Mrs. Dorothy Wilson of Odessa; four brothers, Dalton Green of Colorado City; O. T. Green, Berry Green, and R. J. Green of Los Angeles, California; four, sisters, Velma Green of Colorado City, Mrs. Elaora Davis, Mrs. Helen Jackson and Mrs. Debra Davis all of Los Angeles, California.

Ruby Green, 73, of Colorado City died at Thursday in Root Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Mt. Zion Baptist Churchwith Rev. Henry H. Lee
of King Solomon Church officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Richard Hamilton, pastor of Mt.
Zion Baptist Church.

Burial, was in the Mitchell County Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral
Home.

Born Feb. 20, 1907 in Rusting, Louisiana, she married Prentice Green in
1924 in Colorado City. He preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and a member of the King Solomon Church.

She is survived by seven daughters, Geneva Mays and Ellen Smith of Colorado City, Helen Stevenson, Edna Mae Wilson and Dorothy Wilson, all of Odessa; Frances Tryon of Lubbock and Juanita Trotter of Topeka, Kansas; two sons, David and W.L., both of Colorado City; two sisters, Scottie Kualls of Dallas and Saddie Swodden of Rusting, Louisiana: 68 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Grandsons were pallbearers.
