Graveside Services for V.J. "Red" Barkowsky, 83, of Lamesa, will be held on Wednesday, June 10 , 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Lamesa Memorial Park, with Brother Roy Byrd officiating, under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.

Red passed away on June 7, 2015 in Lubbock. He was born on January 3, 1935 in Lamesa, Texas to George and Clara (Monthey) Barkowsky. Red was married to "Ginny "(Dyess) Barkowsky November 6, 1954 in Lamesa; they were married 59 years. He was in the oil field industry for many years.

Red is survived by children; Debbie Keeton of Del Rio, TX, Vickie Cornett of Lake Coleman, TX, and Larry Barkowsky of Beebe, AR; sister of Jeanette Kinard of Lubbock, TX and brother Alton Barkowsky of Lamesa, TX. 10 Grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 Great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother, Alfred Barkowsky, sister, Elena Hopper, and grandson, Christopher Cornett. Family suggests memorials to American Lung Association 55 W. Graveside services for Ginny Barkowsky, 76, of Lamesa will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Lamesa Memorial Park with Brother Roy Byrd officiating, under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.

Ginny passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Lubbock. She was born January 6, 1938 in Lamesa, Texas to Joe and Cele (Menard) Dyess. Ginny married Vernon "Red" Barkowsky November 6, 1954 in Lamesa; they were married for 59 years. Ginny\u0027s family was her life and she loved spending time and caring for them. She enjoyed working in her yard and being outdoors. Ginny\u0027s grandchildren were the light of her life and she loved them deeply.

She is survived by her husband, Vernon "Red" Barkowsky of Lamesa; children, Debbie Jackson of Ruidoso, NM, Vickie Cornett and husband, Dale of Lake Coleman, TX, Larry Barkowsky and wife, Sheila of Beebe AR; sister, Betty Wood and husband, Horace of Menard, TX; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ginny is preceded in death by her parents; and grandson Christopher Cornett.
