HEREFORD - Estella Cervantez, 64, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, in Amarillo.
Prayer vigil will be at 7 p.m. today in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in La Iglesia de San Jose with the Rev. David Contreras as celebrant. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Cervantez was born Feb. 28, 1946, in Menard to Manuel and Sara Garza. She married Manuel Cervantez on Aug. 28, 1960, in Hereford, where they have lived since 1970.
Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Guadalupe Escobedo, JoAnn Gavina and Sylvia Castillo, all of Hereford, and Sara Lee Vuittonet of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two sons, Manuel Cervantez Jr. of Hereford and John David Cervantez of Borger; three brothers, Rigo Garza, Manuel Garza and Daniel Garza, all of Plattville, Colo.; a sister, Linda Duarte of Houston; 23 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
