Charles Miles Funeral Slated
HEREFORD (Special) - Charles B. Miles, 74, a longtime Deaf Smith County resident and former justice of the peace, died Monday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.
Services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday in Rose Chapel of Gililland Funeral Home here with the Rev. H.V. Fields, pastor of Grace Gospel Church, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery under the direction of Gililland Funeral Home.
Miles was born March 13, 1893, in Wise County. He moved to Deaf Smith County in 1927, and married the former Jerone Clemons in 1934.
Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Mary E. LeFever of Hampton, Va., Mrs. Helen Ruth Stocks and Mrs. Dorothy Weaver, both of Hereford; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Blagg of Lubbock; and four grandchildren.
