DIMMITT - Thomas William West, 87, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with David Denman officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery in Hereford.
Mr. West was born April 11, 1919, in Phoenix to Calvin Gray West and Willie Justin Williams West. He served in the U.S. Army from January 1941 to October 1943 and was stationed at Fort Bliss.
Survivors include four daughters, Bobbie West Hurst of Okmulgee, Okla., and Jean West, JoAnn West and Susan Worley, all of Kaufman; a son, Richard West of Dimmitt; three sisters, Ethel West Schneider of Hamden, Conn., and Georgia Lee West Boaz and Margie West Moore, both of Phoenix; two brothers, Jim West of Hereford and Cleo West of Phoenix; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
