"Casper Star Tribune", February 20, 2002. BIG SPRING, Texas - Funeral services for Casper resident Leon Davis, 85, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Coahoma Church of Christ in Big Spring by the Rev. Russ Mullins. He died February 18, 2002, at his home.

He was born June 29, 1916, in Claude, Texas, the son of Frank Allison and Lena May (Jones) Davis; and was raised and educated in Texas.

On Sept. 2, 1939, he married Nancy Bea Stewart in Amarillo, Texas. The couple moved to Casper in July 1990. A member of the Church of Christ, he enjoyed playing games, raising tomatoes, and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, and a son, Monty Davis; a daughter, Nancy Kay Burns; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

Funeral service for Nancy Bea Davis, 83, of Spring will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002, at the Coahoma Church of Christ with Russ Mullins, minister, officiating. Burial will be at Coahoma Cemetery. Mrs. Davis died on Thursday, Sep. 5, 200, at her residence in Spring.

She was born on Sept. 23, 1918, in Ada, Okla., and married Leon Davis on Sep. 2, 1939, in Amarillo. He preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 2002. She moved to Casper, Wy., in 1990 and then moved to Spring in June of this year. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Monty Davis; a daughter, Nancy Kay Burns; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bart Stewart and Bob Stewart; and a sister, Jackie Fraley.

Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
