Doris Hale, 94, of Coahoma died Saturday, Aug. 16, 1997, in a local nursing home. Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with burial in Coahoma Cemetery in Coahoma.
She was born Aug. 12, 1903, in Milam County and had been a life-time resident of Howard County. She was a licensed vocational nurse, a practical nurse, and a homemaker. She was a member of the Coahoma Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Ned Hale of Sand Springs; two daughters, Jo Dell Callahan and Rae Nell Best, both of Coahoma; two sisters, Olga Stamps of New Braunfels and Leighton McQuerry of Fairview Heights, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
