Domingo Hernandez, 74, of Coahoma, died on Thursday, December 15, 2005, in a Ft. Worth hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at the St Thomas Catholic Church Big Spring with Rev. James Plagens, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery. There will be a Rosary service on Monday, December 19, 2005 at the Rosewood Chapel at Nalley-Pickle & Welch at 7 PM.

Domingo was born on February 8, 1931, in Bracketville, Texas and married Alvina Mendez in 1948.
Domingo worked as a custodian for the Coahoma and Big Spring school systems, retiring in 1982. He owned and operated the Sands Restaurant for 3 years after his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing and working with livestock. He was loved by his family. He was a good husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend and he will be missed by all.
He was a member of St Joseph's Catholic in Coahoma and the Crucillista Movement.

Survivors include: his wife of 57 years, Alvina Hernandez of Coahoma; one son, Domingo Hernandez, Jr. of Houston; 4 daughters, Ramona Tijerina, Maria Pulver and Alvina Arquello all of Big Spring, and Rosa Hernandez of Ft Worth; two sisters, Aurora Gonzales of Uvalde and Pauline Villareal of Streeter, Illinois. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.

Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
