Don Nichols, 84, of Big Spring died Sunday, February 12, 2017, at Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez.

The family will receive friends 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM Wednesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Coahoma Cemetery.

He was born November 20, 1932, in Fisher County, Texas to Hazel and Clayton Nichols. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in the Korean War. He worked 42 years at the Union Pacific railroad. He spent most of his life in Howard County except for a few years in Odessa and Mission. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

He is survived by one granddaughter, Tracy Ann Antonucci and her husband Russell of Dayton, Texas; one grandson, Marc Kimbrell and his wife Shannon of Odessa; one great-grandson, Jarrett Fullwood; one step-daughter, Shirley Trussell and her husband Jimmy of Lucedale, Mississippi and her children, Tonya, Shannon and Drucilla; one sister, Peggy Holdridge and her husband Royce of Greenville, South Carolina; and son-in-law, Ted Kimbrell and his wife Peggy of Sweetwater.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three wives, Peggy (Phillips), Ruby, and Nina (Smith); one daughter, Jacqueline Kimbrell; one granddaughter, Chelsea Fullwood; one brother, Nicky Nichols; and the love of his life: Charlene Robbins.
