*Obituary Don Dwaine Roman
Don D. Roman, 75, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev.'s Walter McCall and Joey Bacon, officiating. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, September 6, 2013, at the funeral home.

He was born September 22, 1937, in Tahoka, Texas. Don married Beth Kuykendall November 19, 1988 in Big Spring, Texas.

Don was raised in Knott after moving there as a small child with his family. He served in the United States Army and upon returning to Big Spring, he worked for Big Spring Hardware and then started working at the Veterans Administration Hospital. He was later transferred to Washington, DC. Don later moved to Austin, TX where worked for the State of Texas and then the City of Austin. He moved back to Big Spring in 1985 when he went to work for E.D.S. overseeing the installation of the computer system at the VA Hospital.

He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Beth Roman of Big Spring; two daughters, Kellie Myers-Geneseo and husband, Jim of Crowley and Donna Gae Roman-Emerson of Hayesville, Kansas; one son, Britt Roman and wife, Twila of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; grandchildren, Kimberlee Baugus of Big Spring, David Stone of Abilene, Jacob, Caleb and Joshua Cook of Grove, Oklahoma, Blair, Morgan, Jordan and Bailey Roman of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Sarah and Sam Emerson of Hayesville, Kansas and Randi and Jared Stevens of Baird; four great grandchildren, Stokley Stone, Landry Stevens, Braedon Kennedy and Emberlyn Stone; one brother, Maxie Roman of Denton; one sister, Judith Ann Roman of Bryan and one sister-in-law, Wanda Lee Roman of Big Spring. Significant family friends include LaRonda Stanley and husband, D.F. and their children, Kaylon, Kay'C and Kaleb.

Elizabeth "Beth" Roman, 83, died Friday, February 4, 2022.

Visitation will be 9 AM until 9 PM Thursday February 10 with family receiving friends from 5 PM until 7:30 PM at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2 PM Friday at Trinity Baptist Church with burial at Coahoma Cemetery.

Beth was born on September 15, 1938 in Houston, Texas to Bessie Kitty Townsend and Henry Jay Myers but was raised by her older sister Viola Owens and her husband Charlie.

She married Don D. Roman on November 19, 1987 in Big Spring and were together until his passing on September 3, 2013.

She has been involved in the community for 50 years and was a member at Trinity Baptist Church.

Beth was the owner of Tom Boy Shop for over 20 years and owned her own interior design business.

She was also part of the Downtown Restorative Group.

She taught Sunday School and was very active in the community.

She and Don loved traveling together and spending time at their lake house.

Beth is survived by her daughter: Kellie Lou Myers and Kevin Boggs of Lubbock; step-son: Britt Roman and wife Twilla of Sioux Fall, SD; 11 grandchildren: David, Kimberlee, Blair, Morgan, Jordan, Balie, Jacob, Caleb, Josh, Sara, & Sam; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents & husband and her daughter: Theresa Baugus and her step-daughter: Donna Gaye Emerson; as well as her 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
