Wanda Lee Roman, 88, of Big Spring, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at her residence.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the First Baptist Church with Timmi Blackshear, Shane Blackshear and Rev. Mark Lindsey officiating. Private family burial will follow.
She was born July 21, 1932 in Knott, Texas to T. M. and Ima Robinson.
Wanda married Odell Roman August 12, 1951 in Knott. He preceded her in death December 15, 1988.
Wanda graduated from Knott High School and attended Hardin-Simmons University.
She worked at Webb Air Force Base for a number of years, and retired from the VA Medical Center after 30 years of service.
Wanda loved traveling, bowling, her Friday night dinner group and decorating her home.
Survivors include her daughter, Terri Blackshear and husband, Tim, of Granbury; two grandchildren, Shane Blackshear and wife, Kate, of Austin, and Timmi Blackshear of Fort Worth; two great-grandchildren, Margot Blackshear and Amos Blackshear; three sisters, Carol Strong and husband, Curt, of Granbury, Joyce Parker of Knott, and Martha Sparks of Magnolia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Lloyd Robinson.
The family suggests memorials to Life Center Big Spring at thelifecentertx.org or to the First Baptist Church, 705 W. FM 700, Big Spring, Texas 79720.
