Funeral services for Donna Marie Crise Rodriguez, age 68 of Seminole, Texas, will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at M.S. Doss Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rodriguez was born November 17, 1954 to Bruce David Crise and Helen Henderhan Crise in Panorama City, California, and was raised in Thousand Oaks, California. Donna graduated from Thousand Oaks High School in 1972. She then attended Moore Park Junior College. She met Frank Rodriguez in 1974 in Houston, Texas and they married on November 26, 1976 at the First Baptist Church in Seminole, Texas. Frank's work for Atlantic Richfield Company took them to live in Houston where their two children were born, Frank David in 1979 and Juanita Marie in 1983. In 1986 Frank and Donna relocated to Seminole to raise Frank and Juanita. Donna started her career with Wal-Mart, where she would work for the next 26 1/2 years before retiring. After retirement, Donna spent her time enjoying her grandchildren and gardening. She loved planting and harvesting her vegetables and raising tomatoes in her raised garden bed; she also enjoyed vacationing in California, Oregon, and Washington State where her brothers and sisters live.
Donna Rodriguez lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, two uncles, and two aunts. She is survived by her husband, Frank Rodriguez of Seminole; one son, Frank David and wife Mary of Lantana, Texas; one daughter, Juanita Marie of Seminole, Texas; four sisters, Virginia Burns of Mesa, Arizona, Karen Reynolds of Redmond, Oregon, Teresa Hendricks of Cordova, Tennessee, and Rebecca Crise of Snohomish, Washington; two brothers, Bruce Crise, and David Crise, both of Snohomish, Washington; two sisters-in-law, Maria and husband Carlos Lopez of San Antonio, Texas, and Esabel Valdez of Pflugerville, Texas; one brother-in-law, Felipe Rodriguez and wife Susan of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, Elaina Marie, and Alexander Ross, both of Seminole, Texas, and Kenneth Hayden and Frank Harrison, both of Lantana, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
